for 40 years...

Founded in 1979, the company commenced its operations in March 1982 under the leadership of its CEO, Mr. Shazan Ali. Since its initial thrust into the marketplace more than thirty years ago, the company has continued to consistently gain greater and greater strides in the industry, acquiring key certifications and winning various awards, expanded its workforce to now over 400 persons and its building capacity to 200,000 square feet on its Marabella compound, including Warehousing, Engineering & Service Workshops, Corporate Office Facilities, Modern Conference Rooms, and a Gym.

2024

6th time winner of the Corporate Governance Award

Our Corporate Governance Core Value starts at the Board level. We’ve enhanced it with proactive steps: reviewing board roles, adding non-executive members, and refining strategies. Recognized on Jan 23, 2024, with the Energy Chamber’s Excellence in Corporate Governance Award for the 6th time. Thanks to our dedicated Board and employees for embedding and improving this value.

-As an ongoing sign of our HSSE commitment, we won the Trinidad & Tobago’s Energy Chamber’s Corporate Social Responsibility Award in the category Sustainable Supply Chain (supplier/contractor)

2013 - 2015

-As a sign of our initiatives and commitment in the Corporate Governance area, for three consecutive years we have been awarded the Corporate Governance Award by The Energy Chamber of Trinidad & Tobago

2012

-Due to our commitment to implement the CAMS system, we were awarded the BGTT Observation, Intervention, Compliance and Contractor management award for the 4th quarter of 2012

2010

-TOSL began its pursuit to acquire the STOW Certification. We implemented Competency Assurance Management System

-(CAMS) with the guidance of the Energy Chamber and BGTT comprising of certified assessors and internal verifiers

2009

-Further upgrade: ISO 9001:2008

2007

– Won the award for Energy Sector Services Achiever from the South Trinidad Chamber of Industry and Commerce (STCIC)

– TOSL acquired international membership of TRACE
(Transparent Agents and Contracting Entities), and has also
implemented its Corporate Whistleblowing Hotline which is provided by report it® (USA). We have subsequently implemented our Code of Business & Ethics Conduct, Fraud Policy, Corporate Social Responsibility Policy and a Corporate Governance Manual

2006

– Achieved status as one of the six finalists in Excellence in Business Award

– Won The Society of Tribologists & Lubrication Engineers (Caribbean Region Section) award for Organizational Development & Support

– Won the award for Medium Company of the Year in the Services Category from the Couva/ Pt. Lisas Chamber of Commerce

2005

-TOSL won the Excellence in Business Award, under the category Excellence in Quality, which is hosted by Republic Bank Limited and the Business Development Company Limited
