Predictive Maintenance (PdM) is based on the measurement
and trending of a machine’s condition while it is in operation.
Periodic Vibration Monitoring and Analysis is by far the most widely
used of the various PdM technologies available. Other technologies
include Wear Particle Analysis, Airborne Ultrasound, Infrared Thermography,
Electrical Signature Analysis, Reciprocating Compressor and Engine
Analysis, and Laser Alignment.
